Kim Studio’s Grandmaster James K. Roberts Jr. works
closely with his father, Grandmaster James K. Roberts Senior,
who is largely
credited for introducing martial arts to the state of Virginia.
A decorated Army veteran of two wars, who founded Roberts
Karate in Springfield, Virginia.
Black Belt magazine does not have an official relationship with Kim
Studio, but it does have an number of past issues online. The database
includes two articles on Grandmaster Ki Whang Kim from when it gave
him its Karate Sensei Award in 1970 and its 1993 Honorary
Award.

Sr., Master Bill Odom recently opened his own school
in Norfolk,
Virginia. He teaches Tang Soo Do, Jiu-jitsu and other styles at the
Norfolk Karate Academy.
